Retailer Spotlight: Sugar Paper!

It takes a unique kind of friendship to start a business, and that’s what Chelsea Shukov and Jamie Oberg set out to do. Beginning with a mutual love of letterpress, Jamie and Chelsea found the perfect spot on which to build a dream, opening a paper store selling only what they love.

Sugar Paper is a letterpress specialty store—offering paper goods from the best letterpress designers in the country, as well as custom stationery and invitations designed and letterpress printed in-house. Jamie and Chelsea believe that simple is beautiful and quality matters.

“We love Egg Press!” say Jamie and Chelsea, "We think Tess is the ‘bees knees’ and we feel lucky to come to work every day and work with people like the folks at Egg Press.”

Sugar Paper now operates out of two locations. The original location sits next to Clementine Bakery and houses their presses and design team. The newest location, at the Brentwood Country Mart, is part of a creative collective of high-end stores. Sugar Paper also sells their wares on the web at www.sugarpaper.com.

Sugar Paper was recently featured in Los Angeles Magazine’s “best of” stationery stores and is often seen in InStyle and Lucky Magazines.
